Photos of the alleged Motorola Razr 5G 2020 were released this Tuesday (4) on the Chinese forum Weibo. Product images reveal design changes with a more rounded look and fewer edges than the current generation.
The launch of the second generation Motorola Razr in 2020, the manufacturer’s folding cell phone, was confirmed by a director at Lenovo. On the other hand, there is no certainty that this is, in fact, a final product, despite being in operation in one person’s hands.
Another detail noted is that the fingerprint reader, which is on the lower edge of the current Razr, does not appear in the new model. In addition to the more curved shape, the cell’s hinges are more apparent than the version that is already on the market. This could be an indication that, in fact, the images can reveal a prototype.
With the device closed, you might notice a slightly larger area for the secondary screen called the Quick View. Next to it, there is a small space for the camera and flash. There are also spaces for sensors and a microphone in the region.

Based on the photos, it is possible to notice the color change to silver/grey, for example. One of the expectations for the new Razr is that Motorola will include a wider range of colors.
In the month of July, the leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) released rendering images of the alleged device. The new photos are compatible with these first ones, especially in the region of the hinges with the most visible screws.
Also last month, a device certification revealed that its charger can have 18W of power. In addition to 5G, the new Razr can come with a 6.2-inch screen, Android 10, 256GB of storage, up to 8GB of RAM and Snapdragon 765G chipset. Razr was launched in Brazil in April for R$9 thousand.
